COACHING & MENTORING

Work that starts with you.

Copy of P1144048_edited.jpg
  • For those crossing a transition, facing a specific challenge — or sensing there is more of them than fits into their current life. My practice is grounded in Integral Coaching (New Ventures West), a methodology that goes beyond goals and looks at who you are: your patterns of thought, your emotions, your body, your relationships. Because what you lack may not be willpower — but a wider way of seeing.

  • For those who want to develop culture in their team/organization, design transformative experiences or facilitate groups. A space where I can bring my experience and we can think together to sharpen your own craft.

CONSULTANCY, EXPERIENCE DESIGN & LEARNING JOURNEYS

Commissioned work, designed around a team’s real challenges.

  • For organizations, leaders and teams that:

Either face a lack of productivity from recurring systemic patterns in their processes, structures and relationships: decision rights nobody owns, meetings that drain more than they give, tensions no one names, feedback that never arrives, hierarchy that controls without coordinating etc.

Or whose culture exists in the abstract but isn't lived or felt by people.

We start with an in-depth diagnosis, using tools from complexity management to surface the systemic questions underneath. From there: concrete artifacts, co-creation with the people involved, fast learning cycles, always balancing abstraction with action. Culture is alive, complex and unpredictable. It transforms by experimenting.

  • For organizations and teams whose gatherings, products or services deserve to be more than automatic procedures. Experience design is the craft of intentionally orchestrating every element of an encounter — space, narrative, rhythm, sensory detail — so that people leave feeling, thinking and acting differently. Experiences that generate distinction, memory and meaning.

  • Beyond curating relevant, current content, the focus here is on form as much as content: learning journeys built on active methodologies that understand learning as more than information — cognition lives in the body, in relationships, and in contact with the real challenges people face.

RITUALS, LECTURES & EVENTS

The autoral side of the practice: where the work above answers a team’s specific brief, here Laura brings her own research and inquiries into public space — festivals, institutions and cultural gatherings.

  • A para-institution co-created with philosopher Bayo Akomolafe: a traveling school with no curriculum and no promise of success, dedicated to noticing the cracks of our time: the openings that appear when familiar ways of thinking and doing stop working. Part retreat, part ritual, part experiment: each edition is carefully designed, and then offered to what design cannot predict. · for more: schoolofcracks.com

  • An autoral research project that began as an investigation into liminal spaces and their connection to contemporary crises — and became a podcast gathering knowledge from many sources to explore the role of rituals in the contemporary world, and in the creation of new cultural possibilities.

  • Talks, classes and workshops crossing rituals, culture, innovation and complexity. I teach innovation at Fundação Dom Cabral and have spoken and taught at places like House of Beautiful Business, HackTown, Creative Mornings, Google, École 42 and SENAC, in formats ranging from keynotes to hands-on workshops.

SELECTED CASES & PROJECTS

2026

School of Cracks at the Garrison Institute, NY

— with Bayo Akomolafe

IMG_8114.jpeg

The first outing of the School of Cracks, which I co-created and co-lead with Bayo Akomolafe. The journey began with a series of online sessions and culminated in a five-day residential retreat at the Garrison Institute in New York — all woven around Yoruba Orisha stories, each day with its own color, theme and episode title, mixing dialogue, ritual, and intellectual and embodied practices. The design deliberately left room for what design cannot predict and when the unexpected arrived, we followed it: the program opened into collective divination and a moneyless market where axé (vital force) was the only currency. Around a hundred people took part across the journey, building something that was meant to be temporary and stayed with everyone.

MERZ Aesthetics

— Strategy & Digital Transformation

IMG_4480 (1).jpeg

A two-year series of encounters supporting a team through digital transformation: team-building and strategic planning, with facilitation and dynamics designed from scratch each time. We sustained practices between sessions, surfaced tensions, worked through conflict, mapped cultural loops, clarified roles and responsibilities — and prepared the team to design its own roadmap. One edition took beauty itself as the theme, at the Japanese Pavilion in São Paulo.

“Rituals for the End of the World”

— House of Beautiful Business, Morocco

ThePolyopportunity-Day2-226 (1).jpg

In a 1950s cinema in Tangier, for an audience of about 200. A lecture on my concept of rituals of absence: the rituals modernity cultivates, generating disconnection, addiction and loss of meaning. But also on rituals of presence as a door to re-sensitization: an indispensable ingredient for innovation, and for articulating the intelligences our time is asking for.

2024-2025

Lojas Renner

— Design & Experience Team Building

Copy of FabianoPanizzi_20250403_01_0138.jpg

Renner’s Design & Experience area (a new, mostly remote team of 50) wanted to communicate better internally and grow its influence in the organization. Across three in-person gatherings, we combined genuine connection, future-casting and the mapping of individual and collective strengths. One edition became a “journey to headquarters”, customized passport included. Stakeholder interviews fed a final report of narratives, hidden gains and experiments to move the area in the directions it wanted to go.

2025

J Randle Centre, Nigeria

— Ọja Asé

IMG20250726171818_edited.jpg

A market without money, inspired by what Yoruba markets were before colonization. A cultural experiment in the midst of Lagos to revive the idea that prosperity grows bigger (and more creative) when it isn’t mediated only by transaction and measurable currency, but is also relational: value perceived fluidly, built within community. I created a card game and a dynamic that expanded people’s ability to see their own gifts, and each other’s.
